How do I send multipart/alternative emails?

If you want to directly control each part of the multipart/alternative sections of the email, this cannot be done with System.Web.Mail. However, if you create a Html formatted email, and System.Web.Mail uses the CDO.Message dll, an alternative text/plain part will automatically be created.

  I have been searching for articles and tutorials how to send multipart/alternative emails in .net 1.1 and in this search I came across alot of articles that stated that It would be supported in .net 2.0. For now I'm gonna give up and stick with standard html mails.

Dear all When Iam trying to send the Mail Iam getting the Error CSO.Message Coild not Access What i wiil do ..

The text/plain auto-generated text can result in SPAM [ Reply ]
When sending an HTML e-mail, the text/plain message that is generated automatically can cause your e-mail to get caught by SPAM filter.

The reason for this is, that all linebreaks in the HTML (<br />), is interpretted as \n and not \r\n. Also refered to as bare line breaks.

Is there a workaround to this?

  You could always do this
  
  body.Replace("\n", "\r\n")
  and it will get replaced.
